I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.
I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

These historic shops were a challenge to shoot because they are so crooked. I used a zoom to compress the scene and allow me to get more of them in the shot. This was one of my favorite shots of the bryggen.
Sunset casts an orange and pink hue over Tartu's cityscape, reflecting on the calm surface of Anne Lake in Tartumaa, Estonia. A tall, modern building and bridge silhouette stand out against the vibrant sky. The horizon features a mix of dense trees and urban structures, creating a serene yet dynamic landscape. The water acts as a mirror, enhancing the sunset's colors and the city's outlines.

London, like any city, is always full of delights and surprises – one of them being Morden Hall Park, not far from the Northern Line’s southernmost terminal. Now owned and managed by the National Trust, this lovely place covering 125 acres was once a deer park in a private estate on the banks of the River Wandle.
The river meanders through the park, creating a haven for walkers and wildlife alike – not least a large rose garden and a substantial wetland area, complete with wooden boardwalk.
The previous owner of the land, together with the Morden Hall mansion, was one Gilliat Hatfeild* (1827-1906), a tobacco merchant who passed it on to his son, also Gilliat (1864-1906). He in turn left the estate to the National Trust.
And here it is today, a park for everyone. There’s no entrance fee, and it’s one of the capital’s natural delights. The mansion, by the way, is now an upmarket wedding venue.

This serene image captures a sunset over Anne Lake in Tartu, Tartumaa, Estonia, taken in April 2021. The calm water reflects the soft pastel hues of the evening sky, with shades of pink, orange, and blue blending beautifully. A modern high-rise building and a distinctive cable-stayed bridge silhouette the horizon, adding an urban contrast to the tranquil natural setting. The quiet ambiance and mirrored reflections create a peaceful and contemplative mood.
The small town of Barmouth in Gwynedd, North Wales, is a popular seaside resort with fine views of mountains, hills and Cardigan Bay. Its most famous construction is the single-track wooden railway viaduct across the estuary of the River Mawddach, linking the town with all points south.
The viaduct was built in 1864 and is 2,690ft (820m) long. It’s not only one of the longest timber viaducts in Britain, but also one of the oldest that's still in use. The timber section comprises 113 wooden trestles supported by cast iron piers, and it’s a Grade II listed construction.
When we visited, the day was overcast and the natural daylight was completely flat. I’ve enhanced the image a little so that the viaduct stands out.
