This is the side view of the New Orleans City Park Tilt-A-Whirl while it is still in production. The cars are not even on yet. This is the neat mask and banner design I came up with for the enclosure panels. I wish I could see it now that it's been set up in it's new home!

I worked in a sign shop in Savannah for about a year. I worked with this guy Anthony who had been in the business for years. Was quite the pro, but he made a slight slip with the exacto coming down the aluminum straight-edge and the knife jumped up and sliced his finger. It was a pretty clean cut. He said it didn't even hurt or bleed until he grabbed it (sort of an instinctual thing, you can't help doing it). I remember he didn't want to get stitches, and I forget if he did or not. I helped him bandage it up and tried to get him to go to the hospital.
Last time I saw him he still had ten digits.
the ink cartriges on a large format printer at the sign shop where I worked in Savannah. It was a terrable pieve of machinery. You couldn't print but a few feet before you would have to pause the print job and blow out the print heads with the air compressor or it would either stop drawing up ink, or it would start bleeding and dripping ink all over the print. Either way, more than likely, the job would be ruined and would have to start over.
They could have probably purchased a slighly more expensive printer and not have those problems and would have saved them twice the difference in labor cost, time and materials wasted.
Though it's a little blurred and blown out, I really like this shot.

In late December 2013, ABC Glass and Signs relocated to this site from their former location on Main Street in downtown Miles City.
Next month, Dick Goddard is having a street named in his honor. He was born February 24, 1931 and he's "an American television meteorologist, author, cartoonist, and animal activist. I need to believe that Flint is, however slowly and surely, moving in a new direction. I long to be a part of it somehow. I continue to think about it, almost daily.
