We got our new sign today!
Hubby & I have a couple of sign shops (I mentioned this in a previous post) but we don't make light boxes. We do banners, yard signs, magnets and the signs that slide INTO the light box but not the light box itself.
We hired a guy to build the box for us and install new LED lights with an automatic sensor so it will turn on and off by itself.
We made the sign face last night and he slid it in for us this morning after mounting the box.
I can't wait to see it turn on tonight!
We have been in business at our original location for 25 years and at this location for 20 years.

I look at those stairs and I picture myself falling down them as I leave the store. I drop all the new signs I just bought and they scatter into the street.

London Transport’s first chief executive, Frank Pick, honoured at Piccadilly Circus station.
Frank Pick came up with the iconic London Underground roundel as above, along with various art deco styling in the stations & the Johnston typeface.
The wording to the side of the roundel was discovered in Pick's notes.

Work orders come in and are processed here at the ADOT sign shop. Requests for new signs or replacement signs are received from across the state. After a work order arrives, the specifications are checked to make sure the new sign will comply with the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and ADOT’s Manual for Approved Signs.

My Uncle, Ralph Caruso father's [Peter] sign shop a few months before it's guts were routed in the late 70s - It stood empty as shown, for almost 8 years. It was built in the 1930s. None of these types of storefronts are extant any longer in the area of Boro Park. This shop was under the El on New Utrecht Ave in Brooklyn between 55-56 Streets. This business was moved a block away in the early 70s shown on the link here.
