Greenville Engineering staff install radar-based detectors to improve signal changes at Fire Tower Rd and Ashcroft Dr on Wednesday, November 2.

The radar-based detectors replace in-pavement loops that are prone to failure, and initiate signal changes more effectively when a vehicle approaches a stoplight.

The signals at the north end of Retford platform 2. The road has been set for the Whisker Hill curve, the route to be taken by 1L74 07:01 Retford-Leeds via Sheffield, Barnsley and Wakefield Kirkgate. Although given an 'express' headcode it sets off as a local service until reaching Sheffield.

An invasive species in the UK, the fungal "crayfish plague" that they carry has wiped out the native "white-clawed crayfish" in most regions of the UK.

They can be identified by their large size when fully grown, their claws are larger in comparison to body size with turquoise/white markings at the hinge and bright orange/red colour under the claws.
