Unusual cloud formation taken in Wakering looking in the Barling direction, oh and of course a sign got in the way...
The words of "Big D," patriarch and father of the 2 sons who started the winery where I work. The third generation runs the place now. Wish I could've met the character whose words hang over the bar in which I gave wine tastings today. :)
well, I was sitting at my desk looking at my list of things to do and realized I hadn't taken my picture for the weekly challenge. "what kind of sign shot can I take?" I thought... and then looked beside me.

I've always counted the ability to hear as one of my greatest blessings...to enjoy music, the sound of laughter, the wind in the trees...everything...but for our friends who are hearing impaired, the American sign language bridges the gap in verbal communication...for today's 'SIGN' Challenge, I've chosen to sign the word "challenge"...
Have a wonderful day of sounds, everyone...enjoy that blessing! : )

Posted before the Electric eel. Participants are warned to not enter if they have a pacemaker or any other heart problems. 10,000 Volts probably wouldn't be good for you….

In a little town called Capitola. I looked it up - June 1987 was the last time gas was so cheap!
pgt #26 Sign challenge
*FINALIST* Back in Boston, I guess.
This is my submission for the Gizmodo Neon sign challenge.
(All photos were featured this week... lucky break! ;))
I found this very faded sign at Road America race track in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. I tried to read the sign before taking the photo but was unable to read it. The photo above was not altered in Photoshop except for minor curves.
I played with the photo in Photoshop and was amazed that by using a filter I have never used before “find edges” I was able to read the two lines of text.
Anyone want to take a shot at what the sign said?
Good luck.
