Guess What This is?
I captured this image with a Raynox DCR250 on a Sigma 150mm Macro with my Nikon D610 DSLR. It was captured at about 1/1600 seconds, f/7.1, ISO 320 and would be probably more than 1:1 magnification. Curious if you can guess what it is from based on the wafer thin depth of field which is in focus?

I visited Thursley Common, one of my favorite locations to photograph lizards. There were plenty about including this baby lizard with its metallic green scales.
The Apple-green swallowtail or Green-banded swallowtail (Papilio phorcas) is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae. It is found in Africa.

My sons and I managed to get out and take some pictures on Sat. evening before picking up dinner and bringing it back for the family. We just went to one of the local nurseries for some macro shots. It was fun to get out and take some pictures.

Si a Spiderman m’haguera picat aquesta aranya haguera sigut capaç de saltar per damunt d’edificis, però no de teixir les seues famoses teles d’aranya, perquè a pesar que les usen en el seu dia a dia no ho fan per a caçar.
If Spider-Man had been bitten by this spider, he would have been able to jump over buildings, but not to weave his famous spider webs, because even though they use them in their daily life, they don’t do it to hunt.

Aquí tenéis a este individuo del género Cicindela que a simple vista parece un escarabajo verde pero, de cerca, fijaos qué mandíbulas! Su alimentación, tanto en estadío de larva como en adulto, se basa en otros insectos que cazan por los suelos y taludes arenosos que habitan…
Ací teniu a aquest individu del gènere Cicindela que a simple vista sembla un escarabat verd però, de prop, fixeu-vos quines mandíbules! La seua alimentació, tant en fase de larva com en adult, es basa en altres insectes que cacen pels sòls i talussos arenosos que habiten…
