Manghopir is a rural area of Karachi, named after Sufi Pir Haji Syed Sakhi Sultan. The area has the oldest Sufi shrines in the city, hot sulphur springs that are believed to have curative powers, and many crocodiles - believed locally to be the sacred disciples of Pir Mangho. Balochs often call this place as ‘Mangi’ or Garm-aab / Sard-aab (due to the presence of the hot & cold springs).
The Manghopir Lake is situated near the shrine of Sufi Pir Mangho and there over hundred Mugger crocodiles in the lake which are fed by the pilgrims.

Unusual sight (at least for me): a Starbuck's next to a Chinese restaurant near the Metro Bonne Nouvelle (at a stonethrow of the Netvibes office).

As you hike through the forest along a lazy river that winds it's way between the trees, a mist rises. It becomes difficult to see too far and the rays of the sun play tricks as they break through the canopy of leaves. From the other side of the river you hear a sound. Scanning the far shore of the river, you see an animal emerge from the fog. At first, you think it's a white horse, but this is a strange place to see a horse without a rider. The you notice the horn on its head! What you see is the legendary creature, the unicorn. What should be myth and fantasy now appears before you. It looks at you, its mane and tail drifting in the breeze. A moment later, it turns and gallops away into the mist. It's a scene you won't soon forget.
This is my second work to feature a unicorn and fits in both my fantasy and equestrian themed art collections. It was inspired by my hikes along similar rivers throughout the Southeastern U.S. where rivers often wind their ways through dense forests.

Tokyo Big Sight convention center in, of course, Tokyo, Japan. On the outside, it is deceivingly small looking, as all you can see is the upper floors. Inside are 8 convention halls the size of the promenade leading up to the building itself.
I was here for Comic Market 71. The people you see here are just the small amount of people that decided to leave before the rush.
