Rounding a curve on a dead end road closed for 20 years due to the washed out bridge, one comes across this ancient sentinel in the darkening gloom.
This week: Spotting St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna would be easy, as its 136m high south tower is a dominant element of Vienna's skyline. Sometimes it can be covert, sometimes the line of sight is obvious.
Exploring the different views is an exercise of strolling along downtown Vienna, discovering lines of sight from unexpected locations.

New in our house: The Loopa Bowl. It's a weighted bowl attached to an outer ring. That ring is attached to another ring. This outside ring has handgrips for our toddler to walk around with her cereal (popcorn).The clever multiple ring system keeps the weighted center bowl upright. The only time it's physically challenged is when Mia eats while on her trampoline.

Part way through our cruise around the islands. I had emergency eye surgery to repair a detached retina. in Honolulu. So instead of finishing our cruise, we stayed in Honolulu while I recuperated before heading home to Toronto. Surgery was a success, thank goodness!
