Cannon beach was named for a cannon washed ashore in 1846 after the wreck of the schooner Shark. This is nearly four miles of scenic sandy public beach with dramatic offshore rock
formations. Haystack Rock is the siganture landmark of Cannon Beach. Here is my attempt at capturing the rock during sunset.
As for the composition, the east was foggy and the west was bright with sun between two thick layers of fog. It was very short- lived sunset. But I am glad I stayed back to see this even after our long drive from Crater Lake. I didn't know that time that this would be the only sunset that I'll get to watch during our trip.
Hole #12
Par is coveted on this signature hole of The Challenge at Manele. The "fairway" is a surging ocean 150 feet below the tee. Bring along an extra ball as it's all carry to reach the green (the tradewinds should help you). You may want to take a little extra club, long is definitely better than short.

Most people know locally, here in Tel Aviv, but for those internationally who don't know of her art, my wife is the stencil portrait artist, known as LEGACY. HOD HASHARON, Israel- today kids from NOAM, the youth movement of the conservative movement, in Hod HaSharon , Isarel, collected 350 sigantures which will be sent to the Minister of Environemnt. The kids were great, explained the importance of 350.org and informed the public what can and has to be done against global warming.
This was one of over 5,200 events happening around the world for the 350.org International Day of Climate Action. More information at 350.org

The auction house Christies is auctioning this album with all the sigantures of the band implying they all worked on the album: Joe Strummer (check), Mick Jones (check), Paul Simonon (check) and finally Terry Chimes....Terry Chimes Played on the album? Terry did not play on the album. He may have toured with the Clash in support of this album when Topper Headon was high on H and could not get out of his own pile of mess. Pretty misleading on the part of the auction house....at least read the liner notes. No true fan would hang this on their wall. The auction is on Nov 24 and some sucker is going to pay top dollar for this....STUPID. The nerve of Christie's. Let them stick to hawking the crap of the ultra rich.
I am a geek.
