OMG, where to begin?
Well, I'm really pleased with both of the ILF dolls; I knew I'd love Scarah, but Clawdeen really blew me away. It's a great year for Clawdeen, what with Scaris, Music Festival, Haunt the Casbah, and now this! She isn't as impressive as wave 2/SO, but she's much better than wave 1 Clawdeen. I also love the white accents in Scarah's outfit/accessories.
We also got a look at HTC Abbey in person. She looks okay, I guess, but I still prefer that concept art over the official doll.
Jane Boolittle is my favourite of the 3 brand new characters. It took a while for my feelings to settle on her, but I think she's great! Not at all how I imagined a MH witch doctor character, but cool nonetheless. As for the other 2 new characters, Clawdia and Honey, I like Clawdia better. She's got her sister's style, but she has her own sophisticated/nerdy flair. I love it! Did you notice how her dress has an 8-bit moon & bones pattern on it? I'm not sold on that toothy grin & golden yellow hair, though. Honey is kind of pretty, but she's not really unique & doesn't scream 'swamp monster' to me. I love her pink hat & belt, and her afro (not to mention those cool swirly patterns on her body), but her outfit is more costume than real fashion to me.
On the other hand, the Sweet Screams dolls are right up my alley! Very Tim Burton-ish. I think this is one of the few times I prefer Draculaura to Frankie! And that's saying something!
Other reveals were Catty Noir & the second wave of Power Ghouls. I love the picture of Catty silhouetted against the spotlights, and her faceup looks better than I thought it would be. As for the PG dolls, I like Toralei better than Frankie, but that's probably because I liked Clawdeen better than Spectra, and I prefer the jumpsuits over the mini dresses.
The last reveal was Slow Moe, Ghoulia's boyfriend. I'm still not sold on that faceup, but I love the facial definition; notably the cheeks & chin.
Other dolls that have started showing up are the GNO 4-pack, the ILS dolls (which I forgot to add to this pic), and a 2nd wave of Swim dolls.
Ghoulia is my favourite from the GNO 4-pack. I love her white suspenders, and her dress has her siganture 'nerd' look, while still being cute. Venus is the next best, although I'm not fond of the rose motif. Clawdeen looks like a last-minute inclusion. Her outfit looks more fan-made than an official Mattel design. :-/
I'm disappointed that the ILS dolls aren't as complete as the promo pics showed, but I still like them. Really glad that the shoes are two-toned or have painted details.
The last surprise was the new Swim dolls, which I totally wasn't expecting!
They're not on par with the first wave (Venus, Lagoona, and Ula D), but I still like them. I think Frankie is the standout here.
I think one of the most impressive things of this year's SDCC was the MH school/castle display. The school playset look crap in comparison, lol.
Lisa R (?) from the MHD forum also gave us a glimpse of the other 2 new characters from the FCA! line; Elissabat & Viperine.
I'm in love with Elissabat! So goth & cute! I can't wait to see a detailed pic of her. Viperine in pink? Really? Ho-hum, Mattel; you don't need to smother a doll in pink to sell her.

Men's brogues from renowned British designer Paul Smith. The Miller shoes feature classic brogue detailing including an Oxford brogue shape, hole punch detail throughout and five hole lace up fastening. They have been dip-dyed with a washed look for a vinatge feel, amplified by the subtle burnished heel and toe. The Paul Smith shoes have been finished with a siganture rubber crest sole for an added designer touch.

Well, I recently decided to try putting my passion for kimono collecting to use by getting into the business of reselling kimono.
This is my first offering for all of you, from the first bundle of kimono I bought to sell. In that bundle I got three gorgeous, vintage furisode in amazing condition. I will be listing all three of them on etsy over the next few days from most expensive to least expensive.
I'm asking top dollar for this beauty because it's amazing condition, it's masterfully dyed and it also has the signature of the dyer stamped on the skirt. Please check out all the detail photos to see the beautiful workmanship.
This furisode likely originates in the Heisei Period (1989 - present), probably the 1990's. It is 100% silk. I believe the outside is rinzu, while the white lining is likely habbotai.
I have inspected this furisode in detail, and have only been able to find one small, faint stain on the back of the garment. I've circled the stain in the in the detail photos. It's actualy more prominent in the photo than in reality. I would rate this furisode in excellent vintage condition. Aside from that tiny stain, it's in like new condition. There are no tears or seam separations. This beautiful piece can be worn. This furisode also has a garment care tag inside the collar.

162.5cm - Long (Collar to Hem)
130.5cm - Arm span
61cm - Width across the back
131.5cm - Total width of skirt
112cm - Sleeve drop
SIZING:
If you are unsure of how to interpret the kimono's size it is important to know that the length (collar - hem) should be approximately 10cm longer to 10cm shorter than the wearer's overall height (longer is better). This is because the excess length will be folded up at the waist. Meanwhile, the skirt should wrap around the hips a full 1.5 times. The armspan should also reach wrist to wrist on the wearer. In this case, the kimono will ideally fit a woman about 152.5cm (5'0") - 172.5cm (5'8") tall, with hips about 88cm (34.5") around. There is some give and take in these measurements though.

Reflection in the building that was a landmark location near our hotel; the Collegi d'Arquitectes building, whose facade was graced by 3 of Picasso's design, and faces a the massive cathedral and ancient Roman gates across Plaça Nova.
I continue to be stunned that such simple curves could be such a siganture.
