Not sure what exactly this is, but I believe it is some type of sage.

The are perennial herbs and flowers in the side courtyard. Also a great spot for stargazing at night.

Northern flicker

Lookign further down, toward the backyard (you can see my ditch digging project on the other side of the fence). Next to the fence on this side is a dead plum tree which I need to take out. Closer in is an apple tree that's also got wisteria growing on it. I want to take the apple tree out (it's not suited to this climate and produces maybe two apples -- crab apples -- a year.
