kiriboshi daikon (dried radish strips), stewed with carot strips - again, the first try for me.

 

kiriboshi daikon, hijiki (seaweed) and okara (bean curd refuse) are the 3 major traditional sidedishes that come up in my mind. if i cooked okara this week, i may feel like scoring a hat trick.

These rich and creamy potatoes are absolutely delicious. For an extra crispy bacon topping, sprinkle at end of cooking.

 

Makes 12 (3/4-cup) servings.

INGREDIENTS

5 1/2 cups mashed potatoes

1/2 cup milk

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons McCormick® Parsley Flakes

1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Salt

1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Nutmeg, Ground

3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

12 slices bacon, crispy cooked and crumbled (about 1/2 cup)

Some leftovers from a family BBQ. Sate babi (hmmmm...), nasi kuning, gado gado and some sidedishes. One of my favorite foods! Selamat makan!

Cucumbers (sliced paper-thin lengthwise with a vegetable peeler or mandoline) red onion, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, sea salt and cracked pepper.

 

Ok, what's more cool and refreshing AND guilt-free in the summertime than water vegetables? Slicing the cucumbers lengthwise gives a different mouth feel, and the sesame oil imparts a tasty nuttiness that stands up to the cucumber and onion. I was inspired to make this after craving my favorite Japanese seaweed salad with the sesame oil. Crisp, fresh, and great for summer picnics!

crispy fried python snake. very very delicious and due to the bones a bit difficult to eat but all the more adding to the pleasure. they prepared the snake in 2 ways - crispy fried and cooked in a coconut curry. as sidedishes i had garlic spinach and rice. whole dish cost me around 10$. yang paling enak
