Aomori railfest 2015

Well this little fella was curled up on the ground in our back garden. They are nocturnal so I think it was just curling up and trying to go to sleep after falling from a tree.

We saved it and put it back up in the tree...it scampered off to go back to sleep. Yay for us....we have some good karma today.

It was *minus* 15 on Monday morning brrrrrrrrrr! I captured this shot of ice on the outside of the bedroom window just as the sun was coming up. I love the heat the sun brought to the right hand side of the photo and the way it kind of looks like an oil slick.
