Here, no problem, however this side stream often poses challenging crossing conditions later in the day.
I often photograph trains passing these barns near Kirkland, IL, but usually from the other side with eastbound trains. Here is the westbound IC&E 273 train of 1-18-13, showing the "other" side of the barns.
A side-by-side shot of my coal-powered robot sculpture next to it's original design by Tad Branham. I used Sculpey Clay and smoothened coins for the arm plates and head piece.
I tried to marry Branham's original design with 1980's toy joint designs and a few tweaks to make it seem more functional. And yes, I Photoshopped the smoke effect. ;)

The Rendsburg High Bridge (German: Rendsburger Hochbrücke) is a 2,486 metres (8,156 ft) long steel railway (Box girder bridge) crossing the Kiel Canal in Rendsburg. The bridge was erected in the years 1911 to 1913 after a design by Friedrich Voss.
It is the longest railway bridge in Europe: on the northern side, the bridge connects to the Rendsburg Loop to gain height and to allow trains to continue to serve the Rendsburg station.
Hanging under the bridge is a socalled hanging ferry (Schwebefähre).
Strobist: Zeikos 680EX set to 1/16th power with some heavy macro style diffusion layers placed subject left and low. Triggered via YN RF-602 system.
