June 6, 2019 – D-Day.

I couldn’t think of any photo that spoke better of today than one of a poppy…

...that's my wife (whose photos can also be seen on my photostream!)

Mr. Aaron B. from Shutterbug Cameras,

Would you please, please cut me a deal on this lovely 24 2.8 Canon lens?

It really is nice, but I think I am the only person that will give it a home.

It really isn't anything fancy.

I mean really.

It doesn't zoom in or out or make your pictures all nice and pretty and perfect like the other fancy pants lenses out there.

It isn't as quiet when it focuses as the others either.

In fact it might actually be a little noisy, some could say loud.

And its really small.

And who wants a small lens that doesn't zoom in and out?

Nobody.

It just does what it's supposed to do; kinda loud and unfashionably.

And I don't think anyone anytime soon is going to walk in and ask for it.

So what do you think?

So maybe...

Ahhmm....

Or..

Or not.

That's cool too.

I guess.

Hey can I take your picture?

Bob K. and his boxer listen to the Gospel. Several dogs today, no cats (I didn't bring Riley, he tends to yowl and yak).

April 24, 2019 – Meindl Unicorn.

Another Meindl figurine, by Susan Meindl. I have collected a number of unicorns over time… this is one of my favourites.

No matter what I'm doing it is always much more fun when I am doing it with Larry.
