It's been said that the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the most photographed event in the world. No one will know for sure if that's actually true, but there sure are a lot of cameras around! Here, a photographer (in the lower right) frames a shot in his point-and-shoot, balloons glowing to the rear.

My friend Cheryl, whom I have known since law school, brought this back for us from a recent business trip to Paris.
This is a montage of the huge diversity of images submitted to Shutterbug in 2010. Hope it inspires you to enter the 2011 competition and have your work shown on the Big Screen or published in the annual Shutterbug Award book. Entry closes 30th April 2011.

Shutterbugs Assignment - Imprints. Atlantic City, NJ. This was taken right around daybreak on Labor Day, September 6, 2010. Only official vehicles are allowed to drive on the beach.
Exhibit A... notice the long nose-like features near the eyes which allows the shutterbug to get exceptionally close to its target.
I met Esvin Diaz during a Shutterbug Excursions shoot near U Street, NW, in Washington, DC. Esvin's construction company was finishing the front of this row house. He was about a week into the project of restoring the front and painting the brick of this bay window.
