With every single passing day, where grim news pervades the constant news-stream, it may seem we are in a hopeless place. While some countries have already started to turn the tide and have started pushing back, the epidemic has plenty of room to grow, and it'll be a long while before the last waves of this pandemic washes on the shores of humanity.
How the nations react, and how the people come together (by going apart) in this time will determine how impacted we become. Separated, we stay united in the fight against this invisible invader. I appreciate the steps the state and the country have taken to encourage social distancing. But, deep in my heart, it pains to have the wilderness separated from humanity.
I hope that this too shall pass.

A WWII Mississippi veteran has just arrived from Dulles airport to find he's not allowed to enter the memorial.
MUNI commuter train tracks on the J Church Line between 22nd and 21st Streets, San Francisco, California. This was taken at a time when the trains were not running due to the Covid19 shutdown of 2020.
Now with the power off in the west half of our space shuttle due to the aliens buzz cutters I now have to go get rid of them.

Prior to the Wodonga rail bypass we see Y151 shutdown over the weekend next to the Wodonga Signal box.
The track in the foreground was the Standard Gauge mainline which snaked it's way around the station and signal box before meeting back up with the Broad Gauge line.
Y151 is now in operation at the Ettamogah Rail Hub.

B61 and 4910 sit shutdown at Blaxland during a Blue Mountains weekend shutdown. The locos were sitting next to an 81 on a spoils train on the other line, both not needed till the next days activities
(Due to a control box in the way, I was unable to get more of 4910 in the shot. In the other directions, trees and pole shadows blocked the shot. Damn work trains never parking where you want them!)
Back in Lockdown 1 TUI were moving Dreamliners in and out of Luton for maintenance. We saw a -8 depart for Gatwick, and the crew returned later with a -9. Miserable weather, so the shots weren't exactly sharp - but nice to see something that big and graceful from the tower during those long quiet days.
