We planned to visit Yosemite over the Christmas holiday school break, and despite the federal government shutdown continued the trip. I'm glad we did.

At 26°F, it was a chilly morning and each stop for pictures was a challenge. I am very glad we stopped here.

It's getting close to winter which makes me start to think about Death Valley. I sure wish a trip would be possible, but...not THIS season for me. Hopefully in early 2022 things will begin to feel a little more normal. For now, I dug this one up from earlier this year right before the shutdowns. I wish I'd had a little more time to explore Mosaic Canyon...such a fascinating mix of geology, just like the rest of DV. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay safe!!
