I shot this one in the backyard. It joins other woodpeckers to take turns on the suet holder. I love the way his red head feathers look swept back and the catch light in the eye makes it stand out.

I was walking around at market day in Fredericksburg and saw this sitting outside one of the building as I was walking in..;) Lets call it "Cowboy Humor"..;)
I just made that up..:) This is a debris pile up after some high water and than someone put the face and eyes on it with rock..;) Than I ran it through Topaz and finished it off.

The sunrises lately here in southern Brooklyn have been pretty awesome, including today's example. I enhanced some of the color, contrast, etc., but not by much. Hope you also enjoy it!

It is the most important modern tourist destination in the city of Valencia and one of the 12 Treasures of Spain. The City of Arts and Sciences is situated at the end of the former riverbed of the river Turia, which was drained and rerouted after a catastrophic flood in 1957. The old riverbed was turned into a picturesque sunken park.

Another shot from my first foray back to Vivid Sydney. It’s been a few years since I’ve ambled through the festival with a camera so it was good to get back and see this amazing city with the lights turned on. 💡💡
