And the other one, Dynamite Juan 'the Mexican', was just shootin' away at it. This robbery committed by three dodgasted knuckleheads soon became one of the bloodiest shootouts ever seen by this rottin' little town..."
I rarely shoot bridal stuff but this was an exception, I loved the location but when I asked him to dip her he must've thought I was shooting the cover of a romance novel or something. About 15 minutes before this, we had a timed shootout contest ~90seconds per person - same people, same location, unedited jpegs only, and I won a 20"x24"x1.5" gallery wrap canvas with that image.
Regardless, I was really happy with how this turned out

I normally shoot alone but on this occasion, as part of the photo city photo walk, I had company. Lots of company, around 40 other participants. Personally I found it quite challenging being in the company of so many photographers. We split into two groups eventually. :D

Yesterday we made a great find on a walk. Abandoned railway tracks, we will surely return here a few times.
Young Living Essential Oils Farm, Mona, Utah, USA. 2018 Fall Festival and Draft Horse Show. Competition for two, four, six and the unusual eight horse hitch classic series using Clydesdale/Shire, Belgian and Percheron breeds. This is a four day event that includes rodeo, jousting, concerts, dancing Friesians, and a western shootout.
This MOC was inspired by the scene from chapter 3 season 1 of The Mandalorian TV show where Mandalorian survivors confront the bounty hunters guild to help Din Djarin escape with Baby Yoda (or The Child) from Nevarro City. It's the first time I ever tried third-party LED lights in a MOC and I think it turned out really well. I'm happy with all the details, especially the big arch/gate and the rockwork, but unfortunately I ran out of some crucial pieces and wasn't able to make the whole MOC as detailed as I wanted. However, it still looks pretty decent I think.

People have been disappearing for more than 4 months, each without a single trace, and never heard from again. After his latest abduction, that crazed man unknowingly commits his crime under the watch of security cameras. Now with a lead, a police squad assembles and follows the man to his run down shack...
This same scene played-out all across many towns on this usually bland, insipid, dull, and nondescript Long Island, New York suburb that same summer.

In the foreground is where the final shootout in John Wayne's True Grit was filmed. Of course you can see the Chimney Rock that was also in the film.
This area is located on the road and is a short distance from Owl Creek Pass. It's a beautiful area and worth seeing if you get close to it.
