Roe island road at low tide.

Long exposure using a 16 stop ND filter and firecrest holder.

The tide was out so took advantage to have a go at some late afternoon long exposures, bright and moody day with the clouds overhead and sun trying it's best to ruin the exposure although making use of this during processing, a moody sky and a pretty windy day all in all a fabulous day...

Winter sunset at one of the most unmistakable landmarks along the Santa Cruz coastline, the S. S. Palo Alto, more traditionally known as the old “cement ship”. Lodged at the end of the Seacliff State Beach fishing pier in Aptos, California, the ship was built from reinforced concrete to serve as an oil tanker at the end of World War I.

I've posted a day shot of this ship but I feel like the night shot looks interesting. I just found out Galveston is offering day sails to tourist. Checked it out on line and it's $300 dollars a person. So, looks like I won't be going out for a day sail anytime soon.

shot taken in thessaloniki greece.
