Antonio Stradivari Baroque Guitar 1679 – an excellent replica – fine and original sound!

Stradivari was not only famous for his violins. He also made guitars and other plucked instruments.

This replica was made after a Stradivari from 1679, which is in the museum of Cremona.

A wonderful and very well done replica by Miguel Dominguez from Algecircas (Spain). Miguel Dominguez is a diciple of Carlos Gonzalez. His guitars are built historically true using the materials and methods of the time of the original guitars. We highly recommend the guitars of Miguel Dominguez!

Stradivari model 1679

Scale length: 670 mm

Back and sides: cypress

Top: spruce

Neck: Cedar

Inlays: bone and ebony.

Rosette: Peral and parchment.

Lacquer finish: Shellac and oil for the top.

The sound is breathtaking – transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. The guitar also has good sustain and captivates with fine and sweet tones.

It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine instrument and let it take you to faraway places and times gone by.
