Case Study 2 - (View at larger size ) Here is a shoot from earlier this year. This was a very fast paced shoot. Main focus was to capture movement and the dynamic personality of the model. The poses that she hit were quick so keeping up with her was a wonderful challenge. Trying to anticipate the models models before taking the shot made the photos work. Hope this helps answer those questions about how to work with models and movement.
Hmm, just got this book and I can't wait to start reading it. I have one more exam paper left to go, and it's freedom for the whole year :D

A photographer is above all someone who fails. Behind each successful picture lies a bunch of failures that came before or after. I never thought of showing the failed pictures I took before or after a photograph that I decided to keep in my portfolio, and I might change my mind about that. It's interesting to see something promising showing up in a scene, and its evolution until it reaches its climax.
I took these pictures in July 2013 on the banks of the Seine river. There was a couple near me, and as I felt something beautiful and photogenic was about happen, I decided to take a couple warm up shots before. Here they are, with the final picture on the right.
a work sheet from the football comicsworkshop. the kids had to fill in the missing text in the speech balloons.
Is there anything better than new sheets? Only new sheets on a super comfy bed with the windows open and breezes blowing the curtains. When I look at this it smells like fresh laundry. :)
Also... I freakin' love the Olympics. I am super excited about them.
Such an integrated aerocockpit has many advantages. You can pin Pin-up photos onto the stem or exhausting cheat sheets for ftp test protocols... :)

So ein integriertes Aerocockpit hat viele Vorteile. Man kann Pin-Up-Fotos auf den Vorbau kleben oder ausführliche Spickzettel für FTP-Testprotokolle... :)

This is made from 4" HST blocks, with four blue-tone sheet fabrics on solid white. All of these are thrifted sheets - nice and soft. This finished size is about twin-bed sized, but I'll use it as a throw on the couch for summer.
I've always loved looking at contact sheets but it's something that you don't see a lot of now with digital cameras being so popular etc.

Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft: Deutsche Schrift, drawn by a Mr. or Ms. “Friedling” in May 1935. One of three sheets. Berlin: Reichsbahndirektion (1935). Private collection (Lars Krüger, Berlin).
This is sheet 1, with A–Z, Ä, Ö and Ü. 109 cm wide × 73 cm high.
These numbers/letters were presumably made by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (the national German train organisation) in 1935, in oder to tell sign-makers what the lettering on signs for trains stations should look like. Several Berlin S-Bahn stations still have signage that includes lettering that might have been made with this design as a guide.
The lettering does not seem to be based on any single fonts of type produced by a typefoundry. But Element – designed by Max Bittrof and published by the Bauer typefoundry of Frankfurt am Main – may have acted as a loose source of inspiration, as this seems closer to Element than to any other typeface.
