Star dunes are a complex aeolian dune form--characterized by a series of slip faces radiating about a central point, producing a rough star shape. Such dunes are the product of highly variable wind directions and thus have a highly variable pattern preserved in the dune.
Dunes often occur in different shapes and sizes, formed by interaction with the flow of air or water. Most kinds of dunes are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune and have a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind. The valley or trough between dunes is called a slack. A "dune field" is an area covered by extensive sand dunes. Large dune fields are known as ergs.

One more drawing for the children's book, that will include 27 animals who live in National Park.The squirrel is very common and well-seen especially in winter, when those animals come to feeders during freezing cold. -30C is a normal temperature for Tatarstan, the region, where National Park is located.

Visited a Outdoor Museum, very cold on the day, did not expect the shallow river to be frozen; decided to take a shot out on the Ice Sheet. Reflecting the blue sky; eyes draws to the bridge.

The sheets of ice were hanging from the rock cliffs. The sun was warming the rock so I imagine that the ice would soon be dropping.
