I tried to get close to these sheep, but every time I was close enough they would run off. Worried I would chase them too far I had to be happy with this shot.
This is Lasithi Plateau, the birth place of Zeus is here in a cave to the right of the picture up in the mountains. Usually those mountains are full of snow this time of year, this year only a few tiny patches of snow can be seen. Weather cycle or global warming. I think we all know the answer to that.

Another shot from long ago early in my Alaska years, but this one is special as it hadn't been shared on RP or anywhere else back then.
The penultimate southbound Denali Star (train 240S) of the Alaska Railroad's summer passenger season is about 120 miles into their 356 mile 12 hr trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage. They are about five miles from their station stop at Denali Park as they climb the 0.95% grade on the shelf high above the Nenana River Canyon and cross the 186 ft bridge over Sheep Creek at MP 352.6.

I quickly grabbed this shot when I noticed the impressive waves of sheep in the field behind my house. It looked as if they were performing a dance routine in the snow, under the moody sky. The formation lasted only a few seconds, and then they were back to being randomly scattered!
Last year, in our travels, we had the opportunity to go through a few areas of the country where I had never visited. Found this amazing bighorn sheep foraging about on the wide open tundra landscape. It was so fabulous to watch it as it traversed the area in search of tasty shoots. Thankfully it would occasionally lift up its head to check on its surroundings ... it's just me buddy. :-)

Three sheep enjoying life: after lunch party on a terrace with a scenic view over the Uttakleiv beach ☺ (Lofoten, Norway)
The little twin at the front got stuck in a rock cleft and fortunately I found him when doing the rounds. As you can see, he's fine now.
Returning from the Semois river where I went to walk the dogs, I made a small detour to France (the region of the Semois is very close to the French department 08 of the Ardennes). I wanted to see if there was anything interesting around here. It wasn't, however this scene caught my attention and made me pull out my camera.
I came upon this driving down the road near Mantua, Utah. When the Sheep Herder saw me he motioned me to follow him and he trotted through the sheep parting them like the Red Sea allowing me to drive through them.
This young foal was with his mum in a field full of sheep. He had great fun chasing them around on a very dull miserable day!
