We were hiking across a rocky outcrop and some sheep made their way towards us. This female looked to be saying "MOVE", which I did.

During our short holiday in England we visited the Forest of Bowland for 2 days. We passed by a lot of fields with sheep. We enjoyed this wunderful moorland during our walking and driving through the area. Somewhere alongside Spen Brow, Fairheath Road or Lowgill Lane. Forest of Bowland, 2023.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!
I quickly grabbed this shot when I noticed the impressive waves of sheep in the field behind my house. It looked as if they were performing a dance routine in the snow, under the moody sky. The formation lasted only a few seconds, and then they were back to being randomly scattered!
This sheep is on the fell near Angram Reservoir Dam, Nidderdale. It seem to know how to pose, head up, nice straight back but it forgot about the mucky fleece. Life on these fells can be hard for the sheep but they are free to roam
Breed wise I think it is either a Scottish Blackface or a Swaledale.

We came upon a sheep farm in our travels last Sunday. It just so happened that the owners came up the road and there we were trying to get some nice shots of their sheep. Instead of chasing us off they invited us in and gave us a very informative "tour" of their sheep! They are sheep breeders and their sheep get shipped all over the US continent and some overseas also. The sheep used in the sheep shearing photo that I shared some time ago were from this farm. What a small world we live in to be sure. On a back, gravel road in Virginia to the world! :)
