It's evident that architecture holds many basic shapes, which is why I took this shot. Before, I was taking photos at Scottsdale Quarters because some of the businesses there have some unique architecture. However, I did get kicked out, but luckily there was this unique building across the street. For editing, I just made the photo black and white, increased black levels, and increased contrast to emphasize the lines.
To answer this week's question, "How can you emphasize basic shapes and space to create a visually appealing photograph," I utilized the sharp edge of the building to highlight the lines. By highlighting the lines, rectangular shapes also appear and the lines draw your eyes from the center to the outside of the photo.

This Sharp-shinned Hawk bolted from our backyard brush pile when I came out to fill the feeders. Fortunately, it landed on a fence on the other side of the neighbor's yard so I could get these photos. Leavenworth, Kansas, USA, December 15, 2025.
Summer Day 16 - Late Afternoon / EDC night too. Geez, this lens is so sharp. I'm amazed. My car is now nice and clean...on the outside haha.
