The sun kept peeking over the fog, but never stayed long.

An outtake from a (very wet) portfolio shoot last night, that I just kind of liked...

No pp on these yet, this is pretty much out of camera, just cropped.

1x SB-900 in softbox to model's front, 1x SB-900 bare to rear. Both in plastic bags :-)

This was the second hawk that perched in my tree, earlier the same day, the Red-shouldered Hawk also liked the view.

Displaying and fighting on a lek south of Calgary, Alberta.

This morning I woke up to find a Sharp-Shinned Hawk in the tree right outside our kitchen window. I had my camera handy since know the cranes are migrating, so I was THRILLED to get a photo of this stunning bird. It didn't give me much time to set up or to take more than three shots before it left. I just didn't have time to dial it in perfectly… but I'll take it!
