"Bristol through the lens" group photowalk at Sharpness Docks

The motor yacht 'Miss Conduct' has, reportedly, been at Sharpness since 2012. Towards the stern, it has the shell of a helicopter (shown in this short series) which one report said was plastic but I understand it is a RotorWay machine. There is no sign of a registration.

This is one of a series of photographs taken by Cecil Sharp (or his photographer) on the occasion of Sharp's visit to Winster on 4 July 1908.

Sharp's visit has been well documented elsewhere (not on this site) and some of these photographs have been published as modern postcards. Examples of these cards are included in this Winster Morris Dancers Set.

The Musician was probably Henry Hardy (1858 - 1916) who was about 50 at this time. He lived at Bankside, Wood Lane and at the 1901 Census he was at Crown Yard with his family. Henry was a lead miner.

In 1879 Henry married Mary Ann Boam. They had 4 children.

Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park in British Columbia, CA. This lake is one of the most picturesque places on Earth, even with storm clouds rolling through. I waited until I had a little bit of sunlight on the rocks before I got the shot, and it was totally worth it.

With an E, thankyouverymuch.

A sharps bin/container with warning and safety information label shot against a blurred background. Such a bin is commonly found in laboratories and other health care services.

Seen on the M3 near Fleet.

There's something about the smell of newly sharpened pencils. It takes me back to kindergarten.

This is the front of a Photo Album which was probably made by Cecil Sharp following his visit to Winster on 4 July 1908.

This particular album is complete. It contains a display of six photographs (each 3" x 2") which have been mounted and glued down to expose the photograph. All of the photographs are reproduced in this Set.

Also elsewhere within this Set is another front album cover which was sent to F. Staton, East Bank. Unfortunately, Mr. Staton's album is incomplete. However, the photograph on the back of the two covers is identical.

It seems reasonable to infer that Sharp had a number of these Albums made up and that he may have sent them to various people in Winster. Two of the images from the Album pages have been reproduced in this Set to illustrate the double page layout.

Sharp (or his assistant) took many photographs during his visit and you can enjoy many examples here..

Sharp's visit has been well documented elsewhere but not on this site.

Some of his photographs have been published (before 1992) as modern postcards by the English Folk Dance & Song Society. Examples of some of these postcards are also included in this Set.

All the best on your Epic Hero's Journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy!

Modeling the black & gold "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

Best on your hero's journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy! :)

Falling in love with the full frame 36 megapixel e mount Sony A7R!

The books around/beside the pretty goddess on the Malbu sand and surfboard are The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, Homer's Iliad, Homer's Odyssey, Shakespeare, and Herman Melville's Moby Dick! My favorite books! Will have some video of the pretty model reading them beside a campfire soon.

They're all collectors editions! My books cost as much as my surfboards!

And for those who always ask, I shoot in RAW! Always! :)
