My etsy store has been a little empty lately. So I created new illustrations for some lunch bags. I'll be offering personalized and non-personalized bags in different quantities and designs.
Stroudsburg, PA. View from the Courthouse courtyard. Started 6/3/29. I had a 4” x 4” panel already drawn. I used a Sharpie pen to freehand what I saw. I guess it’s an unpretty, unconventional view but it was interesting and fun to do. It started to drizzle so I didn’t get to paint it. On 6/5/20 I went back to add the color.
8 1/2” x 11”. October 15, 2019 - May 11, 2020. Sharpie and Crayola pencils. When I do a drawing on a page in my sketchbook the page is not done because I know I will come back to the page sooner or later to either add to the drawing, color it, doodle around it, and sometimes on a rare occasion put a big sticker over the drawing if I do not like it and then put art on the sticker. This page is 8 months of doodling. No planning. Sometimes I just like to let my pen be the boss and give my brain a rest. In art I find the freedom that life seldom offers. In my sketchbook I am Boss. The Big Boss.
Motorcycle parked at Columbus Station, the owner decided to leave and the sketch was left incompleted.
I first met Buddy on 3/17/14. He was born feral. I gave him some dry food and assumed he’d be on his way and I’d never see him again. He seemed about 9 mos. old. A tenant told me he had been feeding him his leftovers for months. I started calling him Buddy. He got friendly. I made him a warm house for the winter and shelter for the rest of the year. He went to the vet for wellness visits and was neutered. We became best friends and walked together. He got 2-3 warm meals a day. He loved sitting in my lap and being combed. I miss him dearly.
