Lots more squares of granite confectionery and the path rises back up to Cumberland Road. The river is tidal and looking quite full at this moment. It's very pleasant cycling along here, The steam train turns left under the bridge by the blue sign and goes onto the harbour-side and the dockyard cranes that could once have unloaded its cargo of small children and excited grandparents. My journey is to go further upstream along the Avon. The sun in the east is very bright.

Plenty of good helpful signs. But just look at that trap on the way in and out. No tandems, no cargo bikes, no double buggies, no three wheeler bikes, no wheelchairs .. awful

The city council of Hannover is planning to build this dangerous tram-section in less then one meter distance to pedestrians (ca. 10.0000 per day) - just leaving the biggest shopping mall of the city (Ernst-August-Galerie).
Most people in Hannover want to avoid this critical corner by using a tunnel for this tram.
Two ready build tunnel Stations are waiting since 40 years to be connected.
