The Millennium square in Bristol on this sunny day was lively with children paddling forward and backward in shallow water in front of the colourful Explore building which is part of We the Curios complex in the center of the city en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_The_Curious. There were few quieter moments, showing lovely reflections of the colourful shapes and forms of this building. Bristol, England

V-Shape - Red-shouldered Hawk launching before feeding on insects. I love this pose as it clearly shows the red shoulders that this species is named after. Often times it is difficult to see the red shoulders clearly when the bird is perched.

It was a special experience observing this bird feeding for around 2 hours by the coast. In over a decade of photography I have never had such an opportunity photograph an adult of this species up close as they usually tend to be quite skittish.
