Aren't we all like a shaping coastline?
Under the surface, we are being moved constantly; our layers are being shifted, we experience internal movements which can result in deep, sometimes magnificent changes.
On the surface, we experience the gentle caresses of the waves, or the crashing hits by the waves, the warm heat of the sun, or the frozen blows of the winds, all the natural forces around us are forming, sculpting us in the every day.
And parts of us do collapse sometimes. And when that happens, they can fall violently, or roll slowly, in any ways, at the end they all will be washed away by the big seas of time.

A week on and the frog embryos are developing into tadpole form (can be seen clearer if enlarged). Fascinating & wonderful to observe.
One of a set of images produced with the assistance of math functions (not AI) where the numbers are part of a mutation of the base image into an unexpected result.
Watching blobs and spheres slide across your viewfinder holds a kind of magical power. I find myself smiling as I watch shapes flow by, wondering what I'll see on my screen once I stop capturing images. What a wonderful way to to travel without leaving home.
Not knowing what you're looking at in a picture can sometimes be annoying. But if you look long enough you might see two circular ramps of a parking-garage around midnight. All artificial lit. The pink area's are illuminated by cars coming down the ramp. The blue parts are "normal" lit.
So, just shapes 'n' colours....

The waves in Long Island sound are small and lifeless... they dont make for much drama in the long exposure department. However, they do allow for some cool geometric shots and they do allow for the texture of the sand to show through, so I tried to capitalize on that. I like the color contrast with the water and the pier. I used a circular polarizer to get the ripples in the sand to show through the water to nice effect. Overall, I am actually quite pleased with the shot.

When it was time to setup for an evening shot, the sun was teasing me with light. Although present and to my left, it was timidly hiding behind a low cloud. It seemed to mock me with its faint glow, provoking a shot, then just as quickly hiding, as if playing some game.
However, I knew the chance for side lighting would come because the clouds had vacated the horizon. I composed the shot with the use of tiny puddles in the mud. They appear disproportionate to the scene with the lens inches away. But lead the viewer in. Then for a moment the canceled becomes the revealed, and the side lighting changes the scene, helping shapes take form.
