If you look closely there's a cat right in the center, it was my original subject but once i had it developed I liked it more for the shapes of the buildings slotting together.

Clay tobacco pipe bowl moulded in the shape of a man's head with a very hooked nose. This may be a caricature of a Jewish person given the hooked nose, the beard and the cap which looks similar to a kippah (skull cap). The rim of the bowl is chipped. Probably dates from c.1870-1900. Purchased in Bristol.

We were chugging past in a boat when this caught my eye. All the rectangle shapes really appealed to me. The shaped uniform, yet the local batik prints completely different and contrasting to the backdrop of the house.
