October fog rolls in and my mind takes a turn to every horror film I have ever loved. Of course, it being close to Halloween also helps, but normally it doesn't take too much of an atmosphere to sway me that direction anyway. Here we have an ode to all of the Halloween movies, but especially II as that was the one that really sealed the deal and ignited a lifelong love affair with the genre. Already looking forward to the next one in 2018.

People riding the escalator up one of the tubes on the outside of The Centre Pompidou in Paris. Centre Georges Pompidou is a complex building in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles, rue Montorgueil, and the Marais. It was designed in the style of high-tech architecture. It houses a vast public library and is the largest museum for modern art in Europe; and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research.
