By using the cutsom shape tool, i was able to create a flower, which then later i was able to type the lyrics "To This day" inside of.

Converted to b&w because the I find the colored lights they have going on inside (as seen in another photo in this set) a bit distracting.

For my shape assignment, I took a picture of a hand with water running down it. This photo meets project goals because the outline of the hand and the texture of the water uses shape to enhance this photo. To take this photo, I painted my mom's hand a dark purple color and took photos of her hand with different backgrounds. When she went to wash the paint off, I realized that the water running off the hand was more interesting than the other photos I took, so I took pictures of the water running down her hand too. After taking the photo, I cropped the image and added a black and white layer to make the outline of the hand and the texture of the water stand out against the background. I think the sink setting for this photo is interesting because it makes the photo unique and a little more interesting. I think I did well with making the outline of the hand stand out. I think next time I would work on making the water stand out a little more. Overall, I am happy with the outcome of this photo.

Lusaka Global Shapers conducted outreach at the Lubuto Model Library about emotional intelligence in February 2020 in response to the gassing and political unrest in Lusaka and surrounding areas. They discussed how anger and fear can lead to subconscious actions and behaviors that can have negative consequences. Their take-home message is that it's okay to feel upset, worried, and sad, but it's important to not hurt yourself, others, or property.
