Marina Bay
Marina Bay is a bay near Central Area in the southern part of Singapore, and lies to the east of the Downtown Core. Marina Bay is set to be a 24/7 destination with endless opportunities for people to “explore new living and lifestyle options, exchange new ideas and information for business, and be entertained by rich leisure and cultural experiences”. It is here where the most innovative facilities and infrastructure such as the underground “common services tunnel” are built and where mega activities take place.

NDP SG50 preview 2015 Marina Bay
Singapore Airlines is not particularly well-known for special liveries, choosing a more understated way for introducing special colour schemes... In terms of Star Alliance colours, they have always provided those colours differently to other airlines, but other than that, special liveries is few and far between for the company.
In 2015, to celebrate Singapore's 50th year of independence from the British Empire on 9th August 2015, Singapore Airlines repainted 2 of their Airbus A380's (9V-SKI/9V-SKJ) with a stylised version of the Singapore national flag and SG50 markings (since removed) to celebrate the anniversary celebration.
A year on, both Airbus A380's retain the colour scheme, however both aircraft have since seen their SG50 markings removed since the celebrations have ended.
Currently, Singapore Airlines operate 19 Airbus A380's with 5 more examples on-order due for delivery from 2018.
Sierra Kilo India is one of 19 Airbus A380's in service with Singapore Airlines, delivered new to the flag-carrier in July 2009 and she is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines. She has been in SG50 colours since May 2015.
Airbus A380-841 9V-SKI on final approach into Runway 27R at London Heathrow (LHR) on SQ322 from Singapore-Changi (SIN).
Harristown based SG50 is seen at the Broombridge Luas interchange on Saturday January 5th, 2019.
Recently introduced Route 40E connects the Luas Green Line Broombridge terminus to Ratoath Road, Deanstown, Finglas West, Cappagh, Ballycoolin, Hollystown with Tyrellstown in Dublin 15.

Singapore is turning 50 in August and to commemorate this landmark year, there will be SG50 celebrations throughout the island. The biggest celebrations will happen on the weekend of the National Day Parade on August 9 but there will be plenty of other activities happening through the year. Take part in the joyous celebrations by participating in a whole host of events, from the Sing50 concert to museum open houses, exhibitions and carnivals. Here’s how to celebrate SG50 like a local.

2015 is a big year for Singapore, which turns 50 after gaining independence in 1965. In March 2015, Lee Kuan Yew, credited with shaping the Lion City into the economic miracle it is today, passed into history.
Then in June, Singapore hosted the 19th ASEAN Games, showcasing the tiny republic's ability to punch well above its weight with a tour de force of efficiency & organization over 2 weeks.
August 9th is Independence Day, with a gonzo-sized national day parade, complete with a specially liveried Airbus A380 making a pass-by as part of the aerial display, ending with a fireworks display so big, it'll be audible in both neighboring Malaysia AND Indonesia. Party on, Singapore!
