Here we have the iconic scene of Singapore, a beautiful and vibrant city which previously was just a small and vulnerable trading port. Fast forward to today, the ability to upkeep a deterrence force, is one of the main reasons behind our current success.

Besides relying on our regular personnels from the Home Team and the Singapore Armed Forces, the backbone of our defence system is actually made up of citizen soldiers stemming from all walks of life.

The blood, sweat and tears contributed by our Singaporean sons towards the defence and security of Singapore should never be discounted nor overlooked.

So do remember, while you were sleeping and or enjoying, we the protectors of peace are always watching.
