Simplicity 2892; ca. 1949; CHILD'S PLAYSUIT, SHORTS, BOLERO AND BONNET. The shorts button in front, diaper-style, and have elastic in back waistline casing. Extend front with bib to create playsuit. Suspenders button to the bib, then cross and button in back. The cropped jacket is faced, with drop shoulders and single button closing at neckline. Bonnet has large brim and crown that buttons in back. Corded piping trims the seam and tie ends fasten under the chin. Your choice to trim all edges with lace or rick-rack.

Things changed:
1.) Got lazy and didn't make the handle - Brought cotton webbing
2.) Added 1" to pocket pattern
3.) Added zipper pocket
4.) Added elastic (gathered) pocket
5.) Didn't use interfacing, used a heavier weight cotton for the outside, save cotton print for pockets

Love this cover not only because of Brooke Shields but the stamp on the envelope says "Kaiko'o".
Kaiko'o Mall was the first mall in Hilo. My mom would buy her patterns at the Singer Sewing Store there.
The building is still there but no longer a mall. It's been converted into State Offices.

One piece bathing suit with built up shoulders and boy shorts; fore gore gathered overskirt, tied at front. Both garments are proportional to fit the tall figure 5' 8", medium figure 5' 6" and the shorter figure 5' 3" Entire bathing suit is lined, has elastic in legs of lining. Center back zipper closing. Corded piping in waistline seam.
