Changdeokgung (lett. "palazzo della prospera virtù"),
è un palazzo che si trova all'interno di un parco di Seul.
Si tratta di uno dei Cinque grandi palazzi costruiti dai sovrani della dinastia Joseon; a causa della sua posizione a est del Gyeongbokgung spesso è chiamato semplicemente "palazzo orientale".
Changdeokgung era il palazzo favorito di molti sovrani coreani del Medioevo e mantiene molti dei caratteri tipici dello stile coreano del periodo dei tre regni, come per esempio il fatto che si armonizza nell'ambiente circostante invece di imporvisi.

La Porta Donhwamun è la porta principale del Palazzo Changdeokgung, uno dei cinque palazzi principali di Joseon.
Fu costruita nel maggio del 1412, il 12° anno del regno di Re Taejong e bruciata durante l'invasione giapponese del 1592.
La porta fu ricostruita insieme al Palazzo Changdeokgung nel 1° anno del regno di Re Gwanghaegun (1609).

Donhwamun Gate is the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace, one of the five main palaces of Joseon.
It was built in May 1412, the 12th year of King Taejong's reign, and burned during the Japanese invasion of 1592.
The gate was rebuilt together with Changdeokgung Palace in the 1st year of King Gwanghaegun's reign (1609).
It is a two-story building with five kan (a unit of measurement referring to the distance between two columns) at the front and two kan at the side, and has a hipped roof, called ujingakjibung, which displays a trapezoidal shape when viewed in front of.
The weight of the roof is supported by the column heads at the top and also between the pillars.
This is called dapo style (multiple column heads).
The three kan in the center of the first floor have two doors each, but the kan at either end are blocked by the wall.
According to an account in the History of the Joseon Dynasty, a bronze bell was hung on the gate in the 13th year of King Taejong's reign (1413), but since the gate has been rebuilt, this can only be guessed at.
Donhwamun Gate, like Sungnyemun Gate (Namdaemun) and Honghwamun Gate (the main gate of Changgyeonggung Palace), is an important cultural asset for research on the construction style of gates built in the peak of the Joseon Dynasty.

Hoya nicholsoniae est une liane indigène de Nouvelle-Calédonie, de la famille des apocynaceae.
Elle est commune, en particulier dans les forêts mésiques et les forêts humides de basse et moyenne altitude. Elle est habituellement sur substrat calcaire, bien représentée sur sol volcano-sédimentaire et assez rare dans les zones ultramafiques de l’archipel.
C'est la seule espèce de Hoya présente en Nouvelle-Calédonie.

Situé à seulement un kilomètre au nord de Hartland, dans le comté de Carleton, le pont Hugh John Flemming constitue un monument à son éponyme, Hugh John Flemming (1899-1982).
Hugh John Flemming, né à Peel en 1899, était un bûcheron devenu politicien, avant d'accéder au poste de premier ministre du Nouveau-Brunswick. Son parcours politique débute en 1921 lorsqu'il est élu conseiller municipal de Carleton. Son influence politique grandit et, en 1944, il devint député conservateur à l'Assemblée législative de Carleton. Élu chef conservateur en 1951, il mène son parti à la victoire en 1952, mettant ainsi fin à 17 années de domination libérale. Tout au long de son mandat de premier ministre, de 1952 à 1960, il a également exercé les fonctions de ministre des Travaux publics et de ministre des Affaires municipales. L'une de ses réalisations notables a été la modernisation du système hydroélectrique du Nouveau-Brunswick grâce à la création du complexe Beechwood. Cependant, son gouvernement a fini par tomber sur des questions liées aux taxes hospitalières.
En 1960, le premier ministre John Diefenbaker nomme Flemming ministre fédéral des Forêts, représentant Royal. Deux ans plus tard, en 1962, il est élu député de Victoria-Carleton et occupe le poste de ministre du Revenu national. La carrière politique de Flemming s'est prolongée jusqu'en 1972 en tant que député et comprenait un passage au Conseil de développement de l'Atlantique.
Le pont Hugh John Flemming permet à la route 130 de traverser le fleuve Saint-Jean. Il remplace ainsi le pont couvert le plus long du monde, toujours ouvert à la circulation locale.
