This was taken early Monday morning as the stalls were setting up at Pike Place Market in Seattle.
It's such a great place to go when it's busy but it's even more of a joy to see it all being set up ready for a long day trading. Plus, it's easier to take pictures without other tourists wandering into your shot.
After watching the Gators pull off a big Homecoming win against Arkansas, it was time to set up the gear for the nightly ritual of taking sunset pictures.
This shot was taken by my friend Diana with her Sony H50. Judging from the clouds, I was thinking that the sunset on this evening was going to be lack luster. What actually occurred was uploaded yesterday.
I find it easier to do this bit by myself. Mary and Steph unloaded the truck and then went to set up their own tents. I edited out a bunch of stake hammering and fussing to get everything straight.
When do two negatives make a positive? When you are dealing with film – that tricky stuff that used to be in all our cameras.
Mr Tikam Chand, grandson of the man who was the official Royal Photographer for the Maharaja of Jaipur in the 1800s, still shoots – and develops – film portraits.
