Working service 16 to Steeple Claydon is this 2001 East Lancs bodied Dennis Dart of Red Rose Travel seen picking up on Aylesbury high street during the busy Christmas shopping season.

Approaching a bus stop in Bedgrove (Aylesbury) is (AIG2563, L633VCV) a Plaxton bodied Mercedes 709D of Star Travel seen not in service before working a school contract in the Chesham area. Formally operated with Herberts Travel of Bedford and was new to Western National in 1994.

Refilling at a Petrol station outside the Police station (Aylesbury) is this 1993 Northern Counties bodied Dennis Dart bellonging to local independent operator (Vale Travel). The bus proceeded to run its daily school service in Princess Risborough after finishing refueling. This bus was formally with Dukes Travel and Redroute Buses.

Former Go Ahead London Central PVL96 a Plaxton bodied Volvo B7TL is seen with Red Rose of Buckinghamshire at Tring having just worked service 501 from Aylesbury and about to make the return journey. One of two Volvo B7TLs in service with Red Rose Travel.

Exiting the Vale travel depot is a 1996 volvo olympian on its way to work local school services, This vehicle is Ex Finglands of Manchester.

Awaiting departure at Telford bus station is this 1995 East Lancs bodied Scania L113 working staff shuttle services back to the Arriva depot. This bus is still currently in service with the Arriva Midlands and is to withdrawn before Christmas 2015. This bus is also the very last step entrance singe deck vehicle in service with Arriva in the UK.

Seen passing gatehouse road (Aylesbury) on its way to work local school contracts is this Ex stagecoach 1989 eastern coach works leyland olympian.

Having just attended the anual Amersham vintage bus rally 2015 is this restored MK1 Leyland National wearing London & Country livery. The bus is now privately owned and is seen attending many various rallys in the south throughout the year, It is seen here leaving on its final journey of the day working service 218 to Stains.

Former Arriva the shires (N912ETM) a Plaxton bodied Mercedes 709D is seen parked at Swimdon bus station Not In Services on a private use in early 2015. This vehicle was privatly bought off Cotsworld Green for preservation but ended up being scrapped in late 2015. New to Luton & District in 1995.

Seen out of service at Aylesbury train station awaiting to work service 359 from Aylesbury bus station to Amersham via Great Missenden is RF280 that was operating this service on the Amersham bus running day 2015.

 

Working service silver rider 1 is this 1999 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart of Z&S Transport Aylesbury. It is seen on lay-by before departure to Buckingham park. Bus was new to East Yorkshire Motor Services as 473.

 

Parked up at a storage yard on Gatehouse road (Aylesbury) is this 1998 Optare Solo that has recently been purchased by Star Travel along with 2 other sister vehicles. (SCZ3869) is seen here just a few days before entering service and looking very smart after a full respray. This bus formally served with Belfast Metro.

Seen on Bedgrove road in Aylesbury is this 1993 Alexander bodied Mercedes 709D that was new to Stagecoach Cumbria and has previously served with Herberts Travel of Bedfordshire. The bus is seen serving a disused (Aylesbury & The Vale) bus stop where no buses have run for over 10 years. This bus was proceeding to run its daily school service when photographed and has since been sold and presumably scrapped.

A First Devon & Cornwall Dennis Dart is seen at Weston-Super-Mare's train station car park out of service during photography.

This vehicle was formally with First Southampton.

Working service 101 from Jarman Park Tesco is this 2008 Dennis Alexander Enviro 400 of Arriva the shires as (5457) It is seen passing through Hemel Hemstead town center before termination at Hemel bus station.

Seen parked at the entrance of the Fowlers depot is this mid 1990s Plaxton bodied Mercedes 709D that was new to Luton & District before serving with Arriva the shires. This vehicle was in preservation at the start of this year but has since been taken off the road for some maintenance attention, it is unknown weather it will make it back on the road any time soon.

This trio of dennis darts are seen parked up inside the Vale Travel depot on Gatehouse road (Aylesbury). These vehilces range from tWO former London Central Plaxton 2001 built bodied Darts (Y803TGH & Y844TGH) and one 1993 built Northan counties bodied dart (L116HNV)

Seen in Tring proceeding on its way to form local school contracts is this Ex London Central 1995 Volvo olympian seeing further life with red line buses of Aylesbury.

Working service 37 to Bourne End is this 1997 Plaxton bodied DAF SB220 that was the last remaining (Ex greenline) spec model left in service in the shires fleet. It is seen departing high Wycombe bus station in early 2015 and was later withdrawn and scrapped in the summer of the same year.

Working Luton service 24H to Dunstabel is Arriva the shires 5428 seen loading up outside the Mall in Luton town centre. This ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident was new in 2000 as part of a mass fleet upgrade and formally carried route 38 branding.

Sitting in a siding at Aylesbury station is Class 121 (960014) that is primarily used as a driver training & track cleaning maintenance unit. Its still carrying the old British rail blue livery with the old Network southeast logos still applied its now looking like a time warp in the modern age. Chiltern railways also operate two other class 121 bubble units in daily service and heritage railway events.

Parked in the Hefordian Becister depot is former reading buses earlu 2000s optare solo, now in use on local town services and school duties.

Former stagecoach united counties 1996 Volvo double decker is seen about to form once a week (Friday) service 154 to Newton Longville Form Aylesbury bus station operated by Red Kite commercial services.

Former Dublin bus Volvo olympian Alexander bodied is seen passing through Tring on its way to begin local school contracts. This vehicle started out with Red rose travel before Transfering to red line and still carry s the livery.

Seen at Watford bus station awaiting to work service 142 Brent Cross is this 2005 Wright bodied DAF DB250 of Arriva the shires. One of many TFL contract vehicles based at the Watford garage.

Working service 37 to Bourne End is this 1997 Plaxton bodied DAF SB220 that was the last remaining (Ex greenline) spec model left in service in the shires fleet. It is seen departing high Wycombe bus station in early 2015 and was later withdrawn and scrapped in the summer of the same year.

Recently aquired, awaiting compan livery to be applied is this leyland olympian with RH Alexander bdywork, replacing an older ECW bodied olympian and used mainly for school work.

Working local urban town service 3 in Hemel Hemstead is Arriva the Shires (3496) a 1999 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart that had recently transfered from Milton Keynes depot. The bus is seen awaiting departure outside Debenhams before continuing to Hemel bus station. This bus was withdrawn and scrapped at the end of summer 2015.

Parked up at a storage depot on Gatehouse road (Aylesbury) is this former Ulster bus Optare Solo a new addition to the local operator which is due to enter service soon.

  

Seen passing by on Skegness seafront is this very vibrant liveried dennis dart SLF with marshall capital bodywork. This vehicle is Ex metroline of London.

Seen parked on a local Aylesbury Esatate (Southcourt) is this Plaxton bodied 1994 Mercedes 709D (AIG2563, L633VCV) that is still in daily use with local operator Star Travel of Aylesbury on school services.

Pulling into Aylesbury bus station having just worked service Red Route 9 from Stoke Mandeville Hospital is Arriva the Shires (3487) a 1999 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart one of 4 that were painted all red for the 9 specifically. These W plate darts have now all been withdrawn at aylesbury and replaced by newer 2001 built models.

A various mix of vehicles belonging to the shires including 2 former TFL DAF DB250s, one Enviro 400 and a former Greenline Mercedes Citaro all seen not in use during the quiet sunday period.

Parked up in the dark gloominess of Aylesbury bus station was this 1993 Alexander bodied Mercedes 709D of Star Travel. This bus would park here every school day of the week between workings on the Brill school contract. It has now been sold on from the company having working with the company for a number of years. New to Stagecoach Cumbria.
