My young daughter set up the props for this shot but they were rearranged a few times by the snail. My schedule didn't allow time for photography this morning so I was forced to take this inside with artificial lights tonight. Feeling off my game this weekend, hoping for a fresh start again tomorrow.
Amtrak baggage car No. 1222 is tied down after being set out by Amtrak train 5, the westbound California Zephyr at Denver Union Station on February 26, 1987. That’s a pretty snazzy Amtrak jacket the guy is wearing, complete with sleeve stripes!

The BN crew of an empty hopper train at Peoria IL on 19 August 1990 sets up the FRED on their pickup. They will then run light to the head end with their power which includes C30-7 No. 5544, tie on, and proceed west, back to the western coal basin.

Captured this with three RAW shots at -2..0..+2 EV. Digital blending in Photoshop CS6. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz DeNoise to reduce noise. Topaz Clarity for boost in color and contrast.
