Enoshima - (江の島) a small offshore island, about 4 km in circumference, at the mouth of the Katase River, which flows into the Sagami Bay of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Administratively, Enoshima is part of the mainland city of Fujisawa, and is linked to the eponymous Katase section of that city by a 600-metre-long (2,000 ft) bridge.
Enoshima is famous of its shrine culture. Generally regarded as the holy place for Benten, one of the seven Japanese Gods of Good Fortune. This God, Benten, is the only female among them. She is considered to be the main deity to go to for artists and entertainers.So people who want to improve their artistic skills believe in her. On the other hand, there is a famous love story that takes place between a five-headed dragon and Benten. So, you will see many dragons adorning the shrine’s premises.

Parked up inside the Aylesbury depot is Arriva The Shires & Essex Dennis Dart (X296MBH 3296) driver shuttle vehicle seen not in use during the heavy snow period which caused the depot to suspend all services. New to the Shires fleet in 2000.
started building a new set of ice climbing tools and thought i would document the process. i have a few shots of other welding projects, but they mostly are just a few snaps of this and that and so on...so anyway, here we go. © design
this series documents the work done to the handle portion of the tool. ice tools have a pommel or plate at the lowest end of the tool that serves several goals. those are the protection of the fingers from impact on the ice, helping to keep the hand from sliding off the end of the tool and there is often a small spike that can be driven into the ice to aid in your stability.
in this series i slotted the end of the tubing so as to insert a nut into the shaft. into this nut, i will be able to thread the plate that will keep the hand from sliding and also the spike that will be welded to the plate. at this point, the plate is unshaped. the final shape of the plate will be created later.

From our tent flap at dawn. We had driven out to Joshua Tree for comet Hale–Bopp. A friend had a telescope with a motorized drive and a camera setup, and was trying to get some photographs. We sought out a dark, remote spot to set up for the night; not sure exactly where it was, but judging from the creosote bush it had to have been down in the Pinto Basin. We had great looks at the comet, but he never did get the 20-minute exposure he needed without clouds coming across and ruining the shot. When the sun came up, though, those clouds made for a great sunrise!
I've known The Summer Set for quite a while, and this past weekend was the first time we were able to work together. They (being from Arizona) were amazed at the fall leaves in Minnesota, so they wanted to incorporate them into some of the shots.
I have this photo on my new website (http://www.sarakiesling.com) and within hours of the site going up, this shot was circulating all over Tumblr and Twitter. So crazy...
A photo assignment I did expressing how the present administration's policies effect trans individuals. This was a shot of the shot.

Former Arriva The Shires & Essex (G657UPP 5107) an Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian is seen pausing near Melling village near Liverpool during a private run from the depot after working in schools in Liverpool city centre. New to Luton & District in 1989 as 657 & is hoped to be bought for preservation soon.
