Senior portrait session with my youngest daughter Amber last week in the Missoula valley. On our way to our first location I spotted this field of Alfalfa that had just ben bailed and had to stop for a few pics.
We got lot's of great shots for her to choose from for her senior portrait. Hard to believe how fast your kids grow up and also hard to believe she will be all done with High School after this year.

In the last week or so of gestation, we utilized the WhelpWise service to monitor Clara's uterine activity to gauge progress towards whelping and puppy health. This is a two part process: First, Clara would periodically wear a uterine activity monitor while lying down. After a recording session, the data was transmitted by phone line to the monitoring service which kept record of, and reported back on exactly what was going on inside our mom to be. The second part of the process involved checking fetal heart rates to gauge stress levels. This was done using an ultrasound doppler provided by the service.

For this engagement session we started at the spot where she had learned to swim as a child. It was blustery and rainy this day; the hike to the water was steep, slippery and muddy, but these two didn't notice any of that.

One blossom, totally finished!
Now I've got about four sections to work on before it's done. Hahaha, oh jeez.
This was my first maternity session, and we had so much fun! It was a first for all of us :) so we had to work through the first few minutes of being unsure, but as soon as we started discussing the new baby-to-be it was just fun and laughs and relaxed.
