Na enige tijd vertoefd te hebben in een iets te volle hobbyruimte V1 werd het tijd voor een V2. Het inzicht kwam er toen ik bezig was met het opstelbundeltje met de schuif. Het schoot me toen wat te binnen dat het nut van de flexibele opstelbundel wat teniet werd gedaan. Dus terug naar de tekentafel. Ik tekende op een groot blad een 1/10e variant van de ruimte + knipte uit papier ook 1/10e varianten van bovenaanzichten van de belangrijkste componenten in de ruimte die er zeker terug hun plaats moesten vinden.
Voor de treinbaan zelf was het redelijk gemakelijk. 5 van de 8 modules van de flexiblele opstelbundel konden gebruikt worden, mooi zo, daaronder had ik nog voldoende plaats om alles wat in het ovaal stond te stockeren. Mits het maken van een 9e element (9x stuk spoor van 90cm) als uitneembaar stuk was al een vraagstuk opgelost, een 10e element helemaal rechts was een passtukje en het 11e element iets wat allicht enkel op deze woonplaats zal gebruikt worden, het makkelijk uitneembare deel aan de deuropening.
Enige probleempunten vormden de module met brug van Nonceveux, deze werd dan voor het raam gestockeerd, in de poten werd nog heel wat ander materiaal opgeborgen zoals poten en 2 bakken van de opstelbundel met 9x spoor van 124cm. Ander probleempunt was mijn serverrack met de centrale punten van mijn thuisnetwerk (een afgedankte watchguard firewall, enkele hpe V1910 switches en een HPE DL380 als homelab server met vmware ESXi (staat gelukkig meestal uit ivm stroomverbruik)).
Het vergde wat werk maar al bij al zeer gelukkig met de wijzigingen. Het resulteert in het feit dat ik op Nonceveux kan rijden en rangeren alsook makkelijk aan kan knutselen. De losse brug van Nonceveux module staat natuurlijk ook klaar om aan te knutselen.
Aan Nonceveux zelf werden op de linkermodule de volgende elementen toegevoegd: de achtergronden, een ledpaneeltje van 30*30cm en een friesje.
De hobbyruimte zelf kreeg een ledpaneel van 60*60cm in 4000k als verlichting, veel helderder dan wat er oorspronkelijk hing.

Update Sept 13 2011, Added a few filler panels and rearranged every thing to prepare for future expansion. Also did better cable management and routed entire house's network through the rack to have a centralized switch instead of satellite switches.

My entire network is Gigabit! You can see that there are 3 devices reporting only 100M, 2 of those are BMCs and the 3rd is a turned off computer.
