Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca island (Spain) is a World Heritage Site declared by the UNESCO under the cultural landscape category. It is a mountain region in the north-west of Mallorca (Balearic Islands) with an altitude up to 1.443m (Puig Major). Besides the beautiful mountains there are very scenic mountain villages with the typical agricultural terraces and countless orange, lemon and olive trees.

Les dues grans serralades del Cadí i el Moixeró, unides pel coll de Tancalaporta, formen una impressionant barrera muntanyosa en el punt d’unió entre el Prepirineu i el Pirineu.
És en aquesta zona on el Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró acull, a més d’una gran biodiversitat, llocs d’una bellesa i un atractiu especials.
És una serra que s’estén en sentit oest-est al llarg d’uns 40 km i que pertany a les comarques de l’Alt Urgell (Josa i Tuixén, Cava) i la Cerdanya (Montellà i Martinet), en el seu sector lleidatà (CAT). És la més important del Prepirineu.
Dins de la part corresponent a l’Alt Urgell hi trobem el punt més elevat: el Vulturó o Puig de la Canal Baridana que arriba als 2.649 m d’altitud i també cal destacar la Torreta de Cadí de 2.562,1 m d’alçada.
A la vessant nord-est de la serra, molt a prop del Pas dels Gosolans i del Comabona, hi trobem el refugi de muntanya Prat d’Aguiló Cèsar August Torres.
La serra del Cadí està inclosa dins el Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró.

Sierra del Cadí.
The two large mountain ranges of El Cadí and El Moixeró, joined by the Tancalaporta hill, form an impressive mountain barrier at the junction between the Pyrenees and the Pyrenees.
It is in this area where the Cádiz-Moixeró Natural Park is home to, besides a great biodiversity, places of special beauty and appeal.
It is a mountain range that extends west-east along 40 km and belongs to the counties of Alt Urgell (Josa and Tuixén, Cava) and Cerdanya (Montellà i Martinet), in its sector Lleida (CAT). It is the most important of the Pre-Pyrenees.
In the part corresponding to Alt Urgell we find the highest point: the Vulturó or Puig of the Baridana Channel that reaches 2,649 m altitude and we must also mention the Cadí Torreta of 2,562.1 m in height.
On the north-east slope of the Sierra, very close to Pas dels Gosolans and Comabona, we can find the Prat d'Aguiló mountain refuge Cèsar August Torres.
The Cadí mountain range is included in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

The Serra Gaúcha (Gaucho Highlands) is a cultural region comprising the mountainous areas in the northeastern portion of Rio Grande do Sul state in southern Brazil. Most of its inhabitants are of German and Italian ancestry. Consequently, the cities in the Serra Gaúcha reflect German and Italian influences through their architecture, gastronomy, and culture. Geographically, it is part of the Serra Geral mountain range.

Several tourist routes run through the most picturesque cities of the Serra Gaúcha, particularly the Rota Romântica, following the tracks of German colonization; the Italian-flavored Caminhos da Colônia; the wine tasting Rota da Uva e o Vinho; and the Região das Hortênsias, landscaped with beautiful hydrangeas ("hortênsias" in Portuguese).
The hot springs in Nova Prata are also one of the regions tourist highlights. The most important cities among the 75 municipalities of the Serra Gaúcha are Caxias do Sul, Bento Gonçalves, Garibaldi, Farroupilha, Gramado, Canela, Veranópolis, Nova Prata, Vacaria, Nova Petrópolis and Carlos Barbosa.
