I finished reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter. It is pretty rubbish, it's a really cool concept that has become a damned brilliant TV programme. The problem I think was that the monologues that are perhaps at most a minute long on telly are played out over about 5 pages each right in the middle of the action. A poorly progressing dialogue. But then it was interesting enough for something to read at lunch.
