Another marguerite image, where I like the overall feel of the image due to the beautiful light (although the two flowers are not that well separated from the other ones). I hope you like it too!
Days of above average warmth belies the fact that we're still only in early Spring - but the flowers reflect the real story. Lots of daffodils, Blood Root, Glory of the Snow, Squill and, of course, all the Spring-flowering trees.
Last evening the community gardens were filled with the chatter of mating & nesting Bluebirds, House Sparrows, Tree Swallows and Mourning Doves. 🌼🌼

I have a few subjects that I want a good shot of but I have been unsuccessful for several years now. Even though I was finally able to capture the American Toad last week that was on my ''wanted list'', it is not without searching for them, trying to see them in the open is almost impossible. You hear them loud and clear in the spring when it is time to mate but you need to be there that day as they move around until the female arrives... anyhow, I got a few shots of some of them this time around but it was harsh light and so much vegetation they hide into, it was a real challenge but loved every minute of it. I will try again for sure and get that perfect shot I have in mind.
While waiting for the train ride through the redwoods to begin, the local Marshal rides his horse along-side the train, serenading the passengers.

Our local Greenfinch chose our Pine tree for his morning performance yesterday.
A male boat-tailed grackle sings away, serenading the nearby ladies.
