Just a quick rough draft of a jump sequence. Needs further cleaning up. Always wanted to do a shot like this. Thanks to Paul for being so willing to take part and sharing his athleticism.
Vellemann kit 4015 -based system (top) - fixed (replaced a diode).
The new brains: 4017 IC sequencer patched in (bottom breadboard) now removed.
Played around with a lot of resistors trying to cool down the output but it still overloads everything it's plugged into. Luckily the overdriver pedal underdrives it enough not to explode the chorus pedal, but it still slowly overloads with that awesome burning smell.
Burned out the power supply onboard the laptop being used to capture sound samples - laptop works but backlight of the monitor doesn't. Might try using an external monitor.

I finally decided to try photoshopping together a sequence.
I did not use a tripod however so I had to use a good bit of PS to blend some areas. I will definitely use a tripod next time so as not to move the camera at all. Still really stoked on this though!!

6 selected shots from a 12 shot sequence of a beautiful breach by a female humpback whale in the Auau Channel between Maui and Lanai.
This sequence was taken by my wife using my D300. Now that we both have good cameras with high frame rates we make a pretty good whale photographic team.
