I was fortunate to capture the Olive-backed Oriole sequence of flight the other day when I went for a river walk. This was my first sighting of this bird and I captured it on different trees in different mannerisms. Lucky me.
Just having fun on a sunny afternoon. No flash required, just plenty of sun.

Taken on September 28/2015 the full sequence of what i was able to shoot. Took me 3 hours in a 8° C cold night and several weeks of post processing but i can proudly say it was worthy.
The photos in this short sequence were all taken a couple of days ago, in Almondell Country Park, not far from where I live.
Parallel to the river Almond, which runs though Almondell, there is a 'lade' which is a Scots word for a channel constructed to carry a swift current of water that used to drive mill wheels. Neither the mills nor the wheel are in operation now, but the lade remains. The images here, are little vignettes in and on the water that I saw as I walked beside it. They're all single exposures, straight from the camera - I just tweaked the exposure a bit here and there.
So, I hope you enjoy this lade-side wander with me, and the beautiful voice of the Brazilian poet, political activist and singer, Caetano Veloso, who I happened to be listening to as I walked beside the lade that day.
